About the race
Flat and fast, PB potential
Darlington Harriers & AC, supported by the town’s Start Fitness, are hosting this multi lap event for those runners who are looking to run a fast 10 mile race, prepare for an Autumn full or half marathon. Using predominantly the same course as the parkrun, although removing the infamous ‘Squirrel Hill’ and starting outside the tropical bird cage…well it has a parrot. Runners will head out past the children’s play area before taking a sharp left down a slight incline before taking another left all the way down to the bandstand. Runners will go around the outskirts of the bandstand and past the bird lake on the runners right hand side until they are adjacent to the river Skerne before turning left one last time back to the starting point. Runners will receive a bespoke medal

Thanks for a great event today - thoroughly enjoyed!!! The atmosphere was great, marshals fabulous and friendly and just spot on for a Sunday outing :)
Absolutely loved this run, though I might of got dizzy doing 10 laps haha, such a beautiful place to run, I would definitely do this again, I came down from Newcastle for it. Thanks for putting on a great run.
Thanks again for yesterday paul. Testing challenge with the laps!
Thanks for a great race, all the marshals were very supportive and helpful.
Thank you for staging the race, I thought everything went well
First can i say a big thank you to everyone at the event for the hospitality shown to myself & Charlotte
I was really chuffed to receive a voucher for 1st male 60 at the 10 miler, especially as these days running is trying to prevent the grim reaper from catching up with me.
Not only was it a well organised event, for which I’m grateful, but thank you so much for the most unexpected prize – you have made an old man very happy!
